Well, it looks like it will be a while before I hear anything about being medicaly cleared..
My nurse is currently reviewing medical applications for those people that are leaving in late spring and early summer -- I'm leaving in winter.
Even though the Peace Corps medical review staff is very busy, they replied to my email the same day I sent it -- within 3 hours. This tells me they are doing their best to keep applicants informed.
It feels good to still be in the process! I could have been rejected many times already.Have a great week!

Hello! I am likewise in a similar position, even though my leave date is in August. Taking a look at your past posts (yup, I called on Inaugaration day too!) it seems that many of us have the same frustrations with the lengthy process. What I've heard though is that it's just a way of weeding out everyone but the serious takers.
The last time I called (a few weeks ago) I was told that I would not likely hear until April because the Spring is their busy time. Since they review according to leave date, you can antipicate to wait even longer! Good luck!
I feel better knowing that I am not the only one at this point -- logically I knew I was not the only one; it's just surprisingly nice (and in an interesting way supportive) to hear from someone at the same point!
Longer than April – ouch! Thank you for helping manage my expectations.
Jay.
